Lighting Design
To be able to work with a high degree of concentration in a quite setting, to give presentations without distractions and to have intense discussions in a contemplative environment—to fulfil these goals the architects designed a simple, yet sophisticated, interior architectural plan. Our lighting concept coincides with these design Goals.
The luminaires remain inconspicuous, focusing their light on each important working plane with precision, down to the millimetre: thin streaks of light in the stainless steel kitchenette. Since the studio is integrated in a 100 year-old industrial plant and the extremely high front window was kept intact, we designed an industrial style pendant luminaire, which was custom-made, to hang above the conference table situated at that front window. Appropriately, we installed enamelled exterior wall fixtures handcrafted in France with current halogen Technology.
Technology
Wall washers with CFLs and glare-free downlights with eco-friendly halogen lamps illuminate the working planes and entrance area. Handmade standing luminaires with compact fluorescent light sources illuminate the work tables in the gallery. The light strip consists of LEDs, all other luminaires are equipped with fluorescent bulbs.
