The concept for this lighting design arose from a commission for a study. The project called for the original splendour of the baroque hall to be restored, but at the same time to have contemporary lighting.
The concept hides light, while at the same time exhibiting it again in the original splendour of the historical luminaires. The goal, however, was not to create a museum-like atmosphere, but rather to bridge historical extravagance with the contemporary world without one compromising the other: a poetic, fleeting “sound of light”, music transformed into light.
